Team
APA SHAREHOLDERSAPA has 7 shareholders, of whom the majority have over 40 years of experience in their respective areas of expertise, be it engineering, project management or finance.
APA's CEO is a civil engineer (with an INSEAD MBA), who has worked for such major engineering companies as Babcock and Bechtel. He has been involved with the CEC project since 2009. Two shareholders are bankers, who have worked for financial institutions such as Continental Illinois, Espirito Santo, Cordiant and Convergence, and bring significant infrastructure funding expertise to the team. The remaining shareholders are leading businessmen based in Nigeria. The foreign nationals amongst the shareholders have worked together for more than 10 years, while the Nigerian shareholders joined the team in 2017. |
PROJECT TEAMAPA have put together an inhouse project team who have worked together now on West Africa projects for over 10 years. Their skills cover every aspect of the CEC project, be it shipping, power generation, or gas supply and in particular in West Africa. Having this inhouse team has allowed for far better coordination of all the third party consultants that have been employed during the current development phase of the project.
APA are currently looking to replace two long standing members of the team; one who died, while working in Africa, and the other who decided to retire early as a result of Covid. APA are currently looking to recruit suitably qualified replacements for them. |
